Cres Boogie and I will be on the wheels of steel spinning tunes and this year we have special guests Murder Mel and LVX performing as well. Please come out and dance, drink and have a good time.

Baker Drivetrain
I picked up a Baker Drivetrain N1 Shift Drum for the transmission. It puts neutral on the bottom instead of between 1st and 2nd which will make it much easier with a jockey shift set up.

Transmission Work
I drove to North Vernon and visited Wes and he showed me the ins and outs of this ratchet top transmission I scored off of Chop Cult. Now I have a list of parts to order and a some thread repairs to do and then back to Wes' to put it all back together. Thanks, Wes!

Chopper Headz Greasy Dice
I love these magazines.
Issue #07 of Cycle Headz has an awesome display of, what they call, the Molding & Long Fork Revival.
Issue #23 of GKM has an inspiring article on Bill Ray, a photographer that hung out with the San Berdoo chapter of the Hells Angels for a month. He self-published his own book of the photos he took during that four weeks titled "Hells Angels of San Berdoo '65: Inside the Mother Charter."
Issue #40 of DicE continues its exposé of the White Knights in the House of Kolor, which strangely enough looks like they made their blog 'invite-only.' WTF?
Quit buying weed with your milk money and buy some of these shitter books.

Special Seventy-Nine
Here are the bars I commissioned Jay at JMR Designs to make for me. They are bars that follow the lines of Flanders #0. They look ridiculously wide on this bike but I feel that they will suit my shovelhead project (and the knucklehead springer) nicely. Oh, and internal throttle!!!

Swap Meet Scores
This was my first year attending the Wauseon, Ohio swap meet. It's supposed to be the second largest in the country. When we first arrived, I was overwhelmed. So much to look at and we had all weekend to check it out. The races on Friday were the highlight of the event. I had never seen flat track racing and these were antiques out in the dirt. Most notably, a 1941 Indian killed this track. The guy racing the bike said he hadn't been on a bike in 10 years. Then he proceeds to lap 2nd place!! WTF?!?
The parts above are what I could afford to buy. The handle bars came off a 1939 Knucklehead. Someone modified the center of the clamp to use for an inline springer but will still work for my offset forks. There's an early inner tin and a really cool STOP light off an old truck. I bought some Michiana Metal Polish and some buffing accessories. I got a kicker arm with a pedal and an awesome points cover. It has the red white and blue "AMF" as an acronym for Adios Mother Fucker. I'll probably run it since my shovelhead is from the AMF years.
